Ifuru Island opened on 23 September 2023 as an independently owned resort in Raa Atoll, about 178 km from Velana International Airport. Every one of the 147 suites and villas faces west along a 1.2 km sunset beach, and the resort operates on a premium all-inclusive concept that runs around the clock. The island holds the only private resort airport in the Maldives, so guests arrive directly after a roughly 30–32-minute domestic flight — no boat transfer needed on arrival. The property also claims the first permanent skydiving dropzone in the Maldives, alongside five dining venues, three bars, Xanadu Spa, and a beachfront infinity pool.
